On September 25, 2023, the Mayor of Lom Municipality, Dr. Georgi Gavrilov, opened the renovated Hub for Early Childhood Education and Care. The major renovation and equipment of the Hub is an activity under project No. BGLD-2.003-0007-C01 "A Comprehensive Model for Early Childhood Education and Care in Lom Municipality".
The Hub employs nine specialists - a Hub coordinator, a social worker, a psychologist, three educators and three educational mediators, who provide support to children at an early age /0-6 years/, and families from vulnerable groups to improve access to health care, form parenting skills, improve the family environment, stimulate early childhood learning and development, as well as limit the transmission of poverty between generations.
Part of the team's main activities is to increase the socio-emotional skills and school readiness of preschool children.
The Early Childhood Education and Care Hub is located at: Lom, 1 Neofit Bozveli Street.
